Tracey West is an American children's book author who has written over 200 hundred books for various licensed shows such as Pokemon, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Teen Titans as well as a series of original books.
She is also the writer in a series of chapter book adaptations of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. The first book, Origin of a Hero, was released in April 2019.
Biography[]
The eldest of three children, West was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Rutgers University, graduating with degrees in English and journalism, before attaining a period of employment with a small publishing company. She considers this to have been a quintessential part of her education. She worked at Scholastic Ltd. for a while, before forming an independent company, Pure West Productions.
Tracey West started writing her own books in the 2000s and has written over 200 books for children. She has written for Pokémon, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teen Titans, and Power Puff Girls. She has also written her own original series Pixie Tricks.
In 2005, West married high school friend Bill Hancock. As of 2006, she frequents libraries and schools with presentations about her works and life as a writer.
