The Crystal Castle is a mysterious structure which was made by the First Ones. Early after her defection, Adora refers to it as the Beacon before learning its true name.

DescriptioN[]

The Crystal Castle's exterior, true to its name, appears to have been build entirely with a blue, slightly transparent stone. It has a path leading to a door made of the same material, being surrounded by spikes of blue crystal. It can be recognized as First Ones' technology by the pink wire-like decoration running through the front of the beacon and through the other chunks of crystal lining the path.

However, this appearance was shown to be in the past; the Crystal Castle in Adora's time, after she stumbled upon it, has the same structure but is overridden by vines. The crystals no longer appear as the same light blue, instead being more of a cerulean blue. The wires are no longer completely pink, fading into light blue as they near the top. Before this appearance, it was a gray hue.

History[]

Located deep within the Whispering Woods, it is a structure created by the First Ones over a thousand years ago. It houses Light Hope, who was also built by the first ones, and acts as a base of operation for She-Ra in seasons One to Four

Adora initially calls The Crystal Castle "the Beacon" in early episodes. She only learns the building's proper name after she meets Light Hope.

Light Hope trained She-Ra to train her powers here as well as to deceptively teach her to believe in an inaccurate version of Mara's history and the events that stranded Etheria in Despondos. She manipulated Adora's emotional desire to defeat the Horde, to use Adora's power so that she could continue the Heart of Etheria Project which she was built to work for. She-Ra, Glimmer and Bow return to The Crystal Castle in Heart Part 1 to gain entry into the Heart of Etheria.
