The Super Pal Duo is first formed by Scorpia when she teams up with Catra in the Horde. It is succeeded by the Super Pal Trio when Entrapta joins the Horde, but is reformed by Scorpia and Emily in "Princess Scorpia" when they left the Horde for good to try and save Entrapta on Beast Island.

The Super Pal Duo was first proposed by Scorpia to Catra, though, after Entrapta's arrival in the Horde, the name changed to the Super Pal Trio; once Entrapta was taken away and Scorpia decided to cut her ties with Catra, deciding that instead of staying with her she should look for Entrapta, the group was down to two members again: Scorpia and Emily. It is likely that it also ended after Scorpia befriended Perfuma and Frosta.

Season One[]
Scorpia coined the term super pal duo when getting ready for the Princess Prom with Catra; she declared "Super Pal duo is going to prom".
Season Four[]
Scorpia opined over her and Catra's friendship while guarding Rebellion prisoners they had captured, saying "Taking a bunch of random prisoners from a party, putting said prisoners in a big pit, guarding said pit. Ugh, if that doesn't say friendship, I don't know what does. The super pal duo is back."
But later the duo split apart after Catra's repeated verbal abuse of Scorpia.
The duo was quickly reformed by Scorpia and Emily when they defected from the Horde. They travelled from the Fright Zone to Bright Moon where they informed the Rebellion leadership that Entrapta was on Beast Island.
