Double Trouble disguised as Catra

Double Trouble shapeshifted into Catra, alongside the real Catra and Scorpia

Shapeshifting is the ability to physically transform oneself. It has been used by various characters over the course of the show, though it varies between individuals the extent, usage, and origin of the power.

She-Ra[]

Both Adora and Mara, She-Ras, were shown to possess this ability upon transforming into She-Ra. Those who are chosen to become She-Ra are able to transform into magically-empowered warriors with exceptional physical abilities by raising the Sword of Protection to channel its magic, and shouting, "For the honor of Grayskull!" thus releasing the power. Once transformed, they are known to be much taller than the average person (Adora became an, "eight-foot tall lady with a sword," according to Mermista) with long, pale-blond hair and blue eyes while also gaining a white and gold uniform with a red cape. It has been shown the First Ones' tampering affected Adora's appearance as She-Ra, giving her a uniform that did not fit with her self image. After the Sword of Protection was destroyed, and Adora learnt to use her inner power, her She-Ra's appearance changed, with the uniform adapting aspects similar to her friends' appearances and maintaining her usual hairstyle. Amusingly, Adora's original She-Ra form has been copied by some other characters, such as Micah or Mermista (as "Sea-Ra").

Double Trouble[]

Double Trouble as Flutterina.

Double Trouble can take on the form of whatever as well as whoever they choose, though they appear to be limited to humanoid forms and do not gain the powers of whoever they become,[1] as seen in "Perils Of Peekablue". However, they can create their own, unique forms and are able to transform individual body parts, such as changing the tip of their tail into a spade like Imp, or styling their hair to resemble Entrapta's. Their shapeshifting also does not appear to affect or heal injuries as the scratches they sustained as Catra carried over to their original form. Unlike Melog, Double Trouble is able to exactly replicate the person and even imitate their voice.

Melog[]

Melog as Horde Prime

Melog, being a magical entity, is able to change into different forms, but retaining their color scheme and appearing rather simplistic. They are not limited in what they can become: this includes taking the appearance of another individual, including a copy of Horde Prime. This ability appears to be directly correlated to Melog's nature as a magical creature rather than being a spell or enchantment of some kind.

Mermista[]

Mermista is able to transform from into a mermaid, gaining a fishlike tail in the place of her legs. This allows her to swim more efficiently, but does not seem to give her any other abilities. Like She-Ra, Mermista is only capable assuming two forms and cannot take on any other appearances.

Micah[]

Micah ep2 (S5) 1

As a powerful and knowledgeable sorcerer, Micah is able to perform shapeshifting by utilizing a spell. Based on Light Spinner's comments, it is an extremely advanced spell not fit for children to learn, thus Micah was banned as a child though apparently later learned it. He was only seen using it once to act as a She-Ra decoy, and the spell allowed him to fully replicate She-Ra's appearance, and later revert only his face. Whether or not he can change his voice as well is unknown.
