Etherians[]

The indigenous peoples which inhabit Etheria are called Etherians. Technically, any creature born or living on Etheria could be considered Etherian, but typically the term is used to describe sentient humanoid characters of Etheria.

Humans[]

Bow at home, in the Library

Humans are one of the predominant people of Etheria. Their skin tones appear to have a similar range as on Earth, with the possible inclusion of shades of blues, lavenders, and grays. Humans can learn sorcery with years of study and practice. Bow and King Micah are notable humans. Light Hope once said [1], "Forgive me. My human protocol is many years out of date."

Princesses[]

Princesses are the royalty of Etheria. Those linked with Runestones can wield powerful magic, while Non-elemental princesses have innate but lesser magic. Some have been known to take the title of queen. Examples of princesses are Glimmer, and Entrapta.

Satyrs[]

Home: Thaymor and the Kingdom of Plumeria

Satyrs appear human-like but with soft fur, goat ears, large pointed eyes, and modified goat hooves, some having horns and others having antlers. Few are also seen in the Crimson Waste, like the Horned Goon Girl.

Scorpioni[]

Home: The Fright Zone

The original inhabitants of the Fright Zone, appearing human-like with scorpion claws, stinger, and partial carapaces; Scorpia is the only known living member of the Scorpioni.

Merpeople[]

Home: Kingdom of Salineas

Mermista can turn her legs into a tail with fins and can breathe underwater. She is the only character known to possess this ability.

Sea Elves[]

Home: Kingdom of Salineas

Sea elves appear as a huge variety of bipedal marine animals, their designs inspired by the many creatures that populate the Earth's seas such as squids, octopi or monkfishes. They are seen living in large, dry, coastal coral structures as well as glassy underwater structures.

Reptilians[]

Seen in large numbers in the Crimson Waste, they appear resembling a variety reptiles like snakes and lizards. Examples are Tung Lashor, Rogelio, and an unnamed Force Captain.

Butterfly people[]

Butterfly People

Butterfly People celebrating in "Flutterina"

Home: Village of Elberon

Highly festive, fairy-like folk, appearing with butterfly wings, large pointed eyes, entirely no nose, and long pointed feathered ears which come in a variety of shapes. Their skin tones are shades of oranges, reds, purples, blues, and greens. Flutterina and the Elberon Mayor are notable characters in this particular group.

Mushroomfolk[]

Home: Village of Erelandia

The mushroomfolk are slightly shorter than humans with large mushroom caps atop their heads, and sometimes they have visible hair. Their skin tones range from pale tans and purples to grays. They tend to build in a rather European style, utilizing stone bricks and wood and building towers with mushroom cap–like roofs.

Felines[]

Humanoid cats, some with human skin with extra body hair like Catra, and some appearing furred all over in various coats; large pointed ears, shaggy hair, sharp claws, and tails. They appear like a variety of felines, from tigers to pumas and common cats. One of them is one of Admiral Scurvy’s goons, Squall, while a family of Felines appears on the projector in the "throne room" of the Velvet glove. There are a few other felines in Etheria,[2] though only Catra's name is known.

Avians[]

Not much at all is known of this species. They live in whatever kingdom Prince Peekablue rules, or ruled. Some may have wings, or feathered bodies. Peekablue does not have wings, and his tail feathers are part of his coat. Though the former version of Princess Peekablue's feathers were attached to her. Angella may partially be descended from this species, and that is what gives her her wings.

Unnamed Etherian Groups[]

  • Humanoids with pointed ears and of similar skin tones to humans; seen at the Princess Prom
  • Bipedal frogs; prevalent in the Crimson Waste
  • Bipedal canines, looking like dogs, coyotes and hyenas; prevalent in the Crimson Waste, and also seen in the Enchanted Grotto
  • Brown-furred, yellow-eyed and heavily maned folk; e.g. Grizzlor and Grox
  • Blunt-nosed and blue-furred or -spined folk; e.g. Sergent Cobalt of the Horde
  • Green-skinned elf-like shapeshifters; e.g. Double Trouble

Non-Etherians[]

First Ones[]

The First Ones were the first off-world people to settle on Etheria, and there are several extant towers and temples which were built by them at some point in the distant past. They are incredibly technologically advanced, human-like star travelers. The only known First One to still be alive is Adora. The rest of the First Ones, who had been living on Etheria, left before Mara took Etheria to Despondos by using a portal. Light Hope, a robot they built and reprogrammed, taught Adora of her heritage as well as brought her to Etheria through a portal.

Star Siblings People[]

Hordak's People[]

Tall humanoids with extremely pale skin, angular faces, long, pointed ears, flat noses with triangular nostrils and eyes that typically are green (sometimes red, or even white) with almost no hint of a pupil or iris. They are muscular, with very broad shoulders, comparatively slender waists, and large hands with fingers whose tips are sharp talons. All known members of this race are clones of a single person, Horde Prime.

Melog's People[]

Members of a shape-shifting, empathic species highly attuned to magic, from the planet Krytis. (See Melog.)
