Trivia[]
- Lauren Ash ad-libbed a lot as Scorpia. Writer and script coordinator Shane Lynch said she "did countless hysterical ad-libs during her records, but her sniffing and saying, 'Yep, that's concrete' [in 'The Beacon'] is in my top three."[1] ND Stevenson said in an interview:
Lauren ad-libs a lot when she records and it's something where we just let her go and we record everything. All of it always makes it in and then we end up writing it into the script. So, you know, she developed this inside joke or callback that we have to write into the script where every time Scorpia is trying to get Catra’s attention, she says, "Catra! Catra! Catra! Hey Catra!" So that’s what really made the characters feel alive and fleshed-out to us, was being able to explore them with the writers and with the actors.[2]
- In an interview, she was asked what character she related to most besides Scorpia; she said Bow. "Because in my real life, I am the person that's like, 'Let's all get together,' I am the organizer, I'm like, 'best friends gotta be best friends.'"[3]
