Etheria's Moons are the twelve natural satellites orbiting the series' main setting, Etheria. They supply the planet's light, contribute to the Princesses' magic and help balance the planet's magical ecosystem.[1][2]

They first appeared in "The Sword: Part 1" at the very start of the episode. Occasionally, throughout the series, a shot of Etheria would include some of its moons, but two or three would show up more regularly in the sky during particular scenes.

Three of these moons are called the Moons of Enchantment by Shadow Weaver in "Light Spinner." These boost the power of all magic when all three of them are in alignment. It also increased the strength of transmissions to Bow's Tracker Pad.

The Moonstone is linked to the magic of the moons,[1] which may be why Angella was known as queen, or, "Queen of the Princesses", as soldiers from the Horde would say; the role signified her connection with light magic. Glimmer inherited this position when Angella became stuck between dimensions, thus becoming ruler of Etheria.
