Despondos is the dimension that Etheria was located in until the end of Season Four of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
Description[]
Despondos is described by Light Hope as an "empty" dimension. It doesn’t have any stars, planets, moons, or any other space objects. It is also hard to impossible to detect from outside of itself, as both the First Ones and Horde Prime were unable to locate Etheria while it was inside, until the Heart of Etheria was nearly activated at the end of Season 4, releasing an energy signature large enough to be traced.
History[]
Just before Mara, the She-Ra prior to Adora, sacrificed herself, she used a portal to send Etheria and its moons from their original dimension to Despondos in order to protect the rest of the universe from the First Ones' plan.
Centuries later, after being sent on a suicide mission by Horde Prime, Hordak fell through a portal and landed on Etheria.
Some decades later, Light Hope opened a portal to bring baby Adora to Etheria so that she would someday become the new She-Ra.
In Season Four, Light Hope reactivates the Heart of Etheria, and opens a portal returning Etheria to its original dimension.
