Also, are we allowed to reveal birthdays (of course not with the year we were born)? I probably wouldn't, even if it was okay, I'm just pretty paranoid about revealing things online ...

@A113pixarfan I'm sorry you had to experience all this. Romantic feelings can be complicated, especially when you're neurodivergent (trust me, I know!).

I'm not alexithymic myself, but I can imagine how difficult it must be to set boundaries when you have trouble expressing and recognising emotions. I think the best thing to do is to give your crush some space, in fact, her blocking you probably meant she needed that space.

It's okay to be scared about talking to people when you're unsure how they feel towards you, but sometimes it's the only way to resolve situations like this. I find that trying out different ways of communication makes things a lot easier. Like Soup said, texting or writing a note are both good ways explaining something difficult.

Also I have a question, do you have trouble recognising emotions or do you just generally feel like you don't show them or feel them? (you don't have to answer this if you think it's personal, but if you have trouble expressing emotion I have a suggestion that may help! I sometimes use an emotions-card that helps me communicate with others when I have a 'blank autistic expression' as I say. It basically has emotions written on it (e.g, stressed, sad, excited, anxious) and I have a star to blue-tac onto the emotion/emotions I am currently feeling. I find it really helps in instances where I need to explain how I feel to other people. If you think this might help, it's certainly worth looking into. If you're a creative sort of person you could even design one yourself!

@MiraculouslyEm14 I had a similar problem at my old school. It's like some people just see a boy and a girl together and assume they are dating. It's ridiculous, and it really frustrated me. I get how you feel! I'm so sorry that you're going through this! My only advice would be to try to ignore these silly people. Some people thrive on annoying others, but they don't see the true effect it can have on people.

@ArchduchessKittycat I get it, writing is difficult until you get into the flow of it! I had to write a 5-page report the other day (*yawns with indignation*) and I swear I took a break between each paragraph. It did help though. I hope your writing goes well Kit :)
