A thriller is a genre of media that is designed to be very scary. Think horror movies. Psychological thrillers use mental things to scare you, so instead of being scared of a creepy clown it’s more being scared of psychological things.

In my opinion, if you still have a crush on her, I’d recommend trying to figure out how to stop it first. It seems very clear that she doesn’t think of you that way (and is perhaps uncomfortable that you think of her that way), so it might be helpful to try to work out those feelings and get rid of them.

Next step, actually talking to her.

I know it’s usually frowned upon to have pretty emotional conversations over text, but as someone with social anxiety, I find that that helps a lot! However, you did say that she has blocked you, so that’s not really an option.

Maybe writing a note would help? It doesn’t require actually talking about the sensitive stuff with her in person, gives you time to think about what you’re going to say, and doesn’t pressure her to reply right away (so she can have some time to think it over).

You could give it to her when you see her at school. If she refuses to take it from you, that’s a good sign that she doesn’t really want to repair your friendship, but if she does take your note, that probably means she’s open to being friends again, or at least wants to hear what you have to say.

Setting boundaries is often only emphasized in romantic relationships, but it’s great in platonic ones, too! You could ask if there’s anything you’ve done in the past that made her uncomfortable, or if there’s anything you haven’t done that she still doesn’t like (so you can avoid doing it in the future). It sounds cringe, but the best thing I’ve ever done for my friendships have been just saying to them, “Hey, I’m a really touchy person and like to give lots of hugs and physical affection, but I get that that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Are you okay with me giving you hugs or would you rather I not?”

If she said anything before blocking you, I would recommend including those things in your note, too, and telling her how you’ll improve upon them.

(Another thing that might be useful is explaining your alexithymia to her. It’s not an excuse, but it is an explanation.)

But the most important thing you need to do? Actually follow those boundaries. Asking people what their boundaries are is useless if you don’t follow them.

I love melog because of that theory that it represents catra’s emotions and the time it was snuggling up to adora, Catra supposedly wanted to cuddle adora and I think that’s really cute even if it is just a theory
