Can't believe no one has said this yet but "Don't you get it? I love you" aka my username.
Exactly what @ArchduchessKittycat said. For it to be an inappropriate relationship they must be related biologically, legally or consider each other sister. They only ever considered each other as friends.
"A town that hates princesses? Should I buy property here?"
Lol Hordak is lowkey a manchild
Catra is so tiny compared to Hordak 😭
After all that Hordak inflicted on the princesses over all those years... him being romantically involved with a princess feels off to me. They make good friends/allies though.
I thought we were wishing happy birthday to the actor, not the character
Very much agree with you @/I want Entrapta's Hair
Having an enemy is not abuse. They were mutual enemies. On different sides, fighting a war. Having a battle with someone in a war isn't abuse. You have to have a personal relationship with someone for it to be abuse. Abuse is what Catra and Adora went through at the hands of Shadow Weaver.
I understand this is just a misconception but just a lighthearted reminder to be careful when using words like abuse and abusive.
I'm sorry if this comes across as angry or rude, this is just a very sensitive topic for me and I feel strongly about this. I think calling Catra abusive is a huge but common misconception.
She'd probably bite me but even my cat bites me.
Yes, unfortunately being a survivor is very common. Which is why Catra is so special to me. It's important we as a society use media like TV shows to tell stories that represent such a large group of people. She-Ra has successfully done that with Catra and Adora.
All of you guys' analysis and understanding of Catra really gives me hope as a survivor. Thank you guys. 🩷
Thank you for this. I can't help but think that a lot of Catra hate comes from subliminal anti-victim/survivor rhetoric that's ingrained in so much of our society. Catra is canonically a survivor, and so much of her actions can be explained by what she faced as a child. Nurture really does shape a person.
People using Adora as a comparison are pushing the perfect victim rhetoric, whether they mean to or not. Adora is a perfect victim. She had childhood trauma but she grew up to do right all the time. Catra is hated because she isn't the perfect victim. She grew up to be angry, confused and hurt.
Overall I think the Catra vs Adora and anti-Catra debate brings up a larger issue in our society of how people treat victim-survivors.
Adorable! My only suggestion is that she's looking a bit paler then she is in the actual show. Maybe make her skin a little bit darker?
If you took a close up screenshot of her face, cropping out the hair, I'd probably think it was a screenshot of Adora.
Yes, exactly. She's good representation in comparison to what we have but still not that great. I also relate to Adora a lot more, I definitely headcanon her as autistic.
I never really liked Entrapta that much, as an autistic person I found her representation to be almost a little bit stereotypical. Plus I don't like how she ditched the rebellion just so she could have fun making tech in the Horde. But I get why she's so popular.
She-Ra is an amazing show.
Catra
Adora
Bow
Scorpia
Glimmer
Entrapta
Bruh the two most annoying characters in my opinion. But I guess Double Trouble is slightly less annoying, so I'll pick them.
I thought you meant the shot they were recreating, yes it's fanart of a real shot in the show
