The Battle of Bright Moon (episode)

Inspired by Brian's post with statistics on the kisses and hugs in his fanfic, I went through all the episode transcripts (plus rewatched a few scenes where I remembered there being hugs not listed in the transcripts), and tallied up all the hugs in the show.

There were several edge cases where I wasn't sure whether to count them as hugs or not; I decided to count most side-hugs and embraces, but not instances where another character, say, just had their arm around another's shoulder.

By my count, there are 63 hugs in the show. That's an average of about 1.2 hugs per episode.

The episode with the most hugs is "Heart Part 2", with a total of 8, closely followed by "The Battle of Bright Moon", which has 7.

And the first hug in the show is between Adora and Horsey!

Despite her more limited screentime, Scorpia does manage to be the top hugger after the Best Friend Squad.

(Also, Sea Hawk and Swift Wind need more hugs! Swift Wind receives only two in the entire show, and Sea Hawk doesn't get any.)
