Can I ask this with no intention of starting a fight?

I love Sea Hawk. I love Mermista. But together... Does Mermista not seem a bit like a bully to Sea Hawk? She always shuts down the things that make him happy (irrespective of the whole setting boats on fair making him happy. I mean like, Shanties and his dramatic bard-ness)

As each relationship in the show has flaws/faults. I'm not saying this as their relationship is somehow "bad" because of it. I'm just worried I'm misremembering it or being to harsh on it.

I don't think you're wrong about any of that. I've certainly noticed it as well.

I've never said they're a good couple. Honestly, I can think of many points against them. I just enjoy them. And I find it interesting - for all the ways they're kind of a mess, how could they make it work?

Can their relationship be healthy? Potentially. From what we've seen, is it currently? Debatable.

I think it's harder to judge because we don't see much of them alone together. Does Mermista still act like this when it's just the two of them? Or is it that she's embarrassed by him when other people are around? Which is still a problem, but a different one.

I mean, Mermista talks as if she doesn't care about Sea Hawk at times, but everything I see about them shows that they are nevertheless each devoted to the other.

They are constantly together, and you can tell that they positively motivate each other.

They never fail to be there for each other when it really counts.

They may be a mess, but they are a solid couple, and I think their relationship is actually pretty healthy, the way they understand and relate to each other.

Glimmer and Bow are an amazing couple, too!

Very healthy and with a deep caring and a great history together as well.

But I do find Seamista a bit more fascinating.
