Adora seems like such a nice person to be around. Shadow Weaver on the other hand...

Shadow Weaver is a top-tier villain -- amazing character!

But . . .

She sacrificed herself for Adora, so I'll do the same.

SW cuz her arcs got lotsa twists and turns, adora's is a lot more straight forward so 'cya'

I do like Shadow Weaver as in I think she's very well written. I'd be intrigued to find out more about her backstory as Light Spinner.

BUT

She is also conniving and manipulative and although she did sacrifice herself in the end, not entirely redeemed.

Adora's character may at first seem like a conventional hero, but this is She Ra, so it's always going to be more complicated than that. Plus, Adora when she gets infected with the First Ones virus, especially the time in the Northern Reach. And her backstory/chemistry/relationship with Catra.

Shadow Weaver is a great character, very interesting and complex, but so is Adora. I love Adora's arc, especially in season five. She and her massive martyr hero complex is an interesting deconstruction of the self-sacrificing paragon hero trope.
