It's an inventive approach, and it evokes the various emotions so much better.

Thank you so much. It was the most technical piece I've attempted. It's been in my head for a while and I thought it was just above my skill ceiling.

It even got down to the point of the lighting in the room at that specific time of day here (on the monitor). I was trying to figure out the tone of the piece to show it was at night - even though I didn't draw the windows - while still keeping the room light warm and bright. Then there's literally three other devices producing light (monitor, tablet, laptop). it was a headache...

Drawing the desk mat was torture but turned out surprisingly nice for how much I over simplified it.

I only just noticed I didn't go back and clean up the right hand and you can see some other lines clipping through it /sadface

The lighting is quite impressive, and I think that you indicated time of day very well.

WOW, GREAT JOB!!!!!!! The perspective in that piece is very good! And I LOVE all of the details! Like the cityscape behind the keyboard, the spoon in the mug, and Catra's tail draped over her arm! The lighting is amazing, too! It's realistic and adds even more to the depth! Also, wow, amazing job on the body proportions and hands!! (Did you have a reference?)

And I'd just like to mention that Catra's glasses are very cute on her!

I love this so much, and I love seeing the development of each stage! The desk mat and everything about Catra are my favourite, from the shading of her hair to the expression on her face to the way the light is falling on her and her tail curled round her arm! This is so cool and you're such a good artist!
