My hope is that She-Ra could help people to have a different perspective and open their hearts a bit more.

Especially if they can see how much it means to someone they care about.

But every person and every relationship and situation is different.

So, it really depends.

With my dad? Nah, very bad idea. With my mum? absolutely! I have many times.

I have watched the entire series with my mom, I live in a supportive household, so everyone is chill

I've watched it with them multiple times! My family is very supportive and they're actively happy that the show has so much LGBTQ representation.

Y'all are so lucky. My parents would've stopped me if they saw Spinerella and Netossa in the first place. They're not homophobic or anything, but if there was someone gay in shows I watch, they would stop me, no matter how old I am. Also my country opposes LGBT because it's majority Islam (but I'm Christian), so they rated it 18+ because of the gays

Like I wouldn’t want to watch Vampire Knight with my mom (and that is by no means a progressive and openly lgbt show like She ra), just because it’s not her kind of thing and personal preference

My mom is totally accepting of lgbt people and media but eh I probably wouldn’t want to watch She ra with her, gay scenes or not

My bio father on the other hand falls completely into the second option yeah

I came out to my parents a year ago and we watched She-ra even before I came out and actually the show she-ra was the boost I needed to officially come out to my family and this June I’m planning to come out to my grandparents and yes I do drop hints that I’m LGBTQ. I love She-ra and it was actually the first LGBTQ show or thing I’ve ever watched. And she-ra is number 1 in my heart ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜!
