Sorry it's been a bit since I've been able to post on my fanfic.
But now I'm able to get back on a regular schedule with it, so thank you for being patient with me! 😌
Well, it's a new episode now, which means, it's time for a grand recap!
Ep 53, Ep 54, Ep 55, Ep 56, Ep 57, Ep 58, Ep 59, Ep 60, Ep 61, Ep 62, Ep 63, Ep 64, Ep 65, Ep 66, Ep 67, Ep 68, Ep 69.
(Note, Episode numbering begins with 53 because the final episode of the TV series was the 52nd episode.)
The story so far:
Following the war with Horde Prime, the princesses have all gone home.
Hordak has taken on the task to care for his brother clones.
Scorpia has gone back to the Fright Zone, where she has met up with Lonnie and the former Horde Soldiers. Perfuma and Frosta have each offered to help Scorpia to establish herself as princess of the new kingdom of the Peace Zone.
Catra has tried to feel at home in Bright Moon.
Micah has also come home to Bright Moon.
Sea Hawk has gone with Mermista to Salineas, which is in ruins and bereft of many of its citizenry. Together, they have worked to regather the Salineans to rebuild their kingdom.
A series of disasters have struck all over Etheria, herald of a planet-wide cataclysm. Glimmer has taken charge to bring the princesses together and call upon Mystacor for help, but Mystacor has suffered one of the largest disasters and is unable to assist.
The princesses band together, with guidance from the scientific insights of Entrapta and Bow, to save Etheria by shutting down the First Ones systems once and for all.
This drastic and dangerous measure has resulted in the princesses (with the exception of Adora, unbeknownst to everyone but Catra) losing all of their magic.
Now, Adora has visited Razz, Catra and Glimmer have gone to Mystacor, and Entrapta and Wink (Wrong Hordak) have gone to Horde Prime's old flagship, all of them seeking answers to restore the magic of the princesses.
At this point in time, while Catra and Glimmer are away, Adora and General Juliet have apprehended Double Trouble, who has infiltrated Bright Moon by stealth.
Double Trouble's purpose in returning to Bright Moon is as yet unknown, but Adora and General Juliet are in process of questioning them. So far, Double Trouble has remained confident and calm, despite Adora's threats.
I am going to dedicate the first part of this new episode to one of my newest friends here, Emile ( @Emile the Cat )!
It has been really great getting to know you a little bit, Emile, and I hope you will enjoy this and maybe get a chance to catch up on my fanfic if you like it!
The start of the whole thing is here.
Or, if you just want to begin from the glorious entrance of Double Trouble, then you could start here.
Links to every part may be found in our Fan Fiction Archive, which is under the "COMMUNITY" tab of the menu at the top of the wiki.
This week's part is not very long. Think of it as the pre-intro sequence of the episode. Future parts will be considerably longer.
Here we go!
EPISODE 70: To Seek the Heart of Magic
A growing shadow slowly extends from Castle Bright Moon, as the sun shifts in its arc overhead, dousing its own reflected brilliance from the waters of the castle moat.
In no ways less insidious, a dark feeling of dread seeps into the minds of those assembled in the makeshift holding cell where a suspicious figure with unknown motives takes center stage.
Adora sits tensely, arms folded, upright and alert, in direct contradiction to the luxuriousness of the lounge supporting her. Standing beside her, hands on hips and frowning sternly, is General Juliet.
Positioned almost equidistant from each other around the medium-sized, brightly lit, circular chamber stand three of the castle guard contingent, their staves held in relaxed readiness.
Together, these six surround the tall, lithe, reptilian figure with the dancing eyes and the graceful movements who prepares to deliver their oration.
All eyes face center, where Double Trouble commands their full attention.
Double Trouble takes a couple of steps and strikes a dramatic pose: one leg and one hand extended out to the side balletically, while their other arm reaches, along with their gaze, toward the vast invisible heavens.
Double Trouble: [theatrically] Lights, please!
Silence follows, during which the guards look at each other and shrug, while Adora and Juliet glare impatiently.
Double Trouble: [to themself] Hm. Oh, well.
General Juliet sets her jaw and rolls her eyes, narrowing them again at Double Trouble.
General Juliet: [with a hard tone] Just. Get to the point.
Double Trouble pauses in their pose, glancing over to General Juliet with a hint of disappointment.
Double Trouble: The point?
With a dramatic sigh, they relax out of their pose and into a simple stance, hand on hip.
Double Trouble: Fine. Well!
Placing the tips of their fingers together, Double Trouble tilts their head forward, grinning widely. Their words hold a mysterious intensity.
Double Trouble: I hear that you are in some desperate need of magic around here!
Adora’s eyes widen slightly, and she exchanges a glance with General Juliet.
A dramatic pause falls heavily over the room.
The performer holds their audience in the palm of their hand.
And for a moment, no one even breathes!
Double Trouble: [with quiet command] And I am willing to make you an offer!
[cue "Warriors" theme!]
