Weeks after capturing the village of Thaymor, the Horde was virtually invincible. The Rebellion was practically gone, but Bright Moon still belonged to Queen Angella. Well, that was about to change. Adora and Entrapta were just drawing up a new plan to take control of the Whispering Woods. Entrapta had discovered something inside the planet. Something very powerful. Adora wasted not a day to explore all the possibilities of it.
"I don't know, leader, if this is a good idea." Entrapta said convinced. Adora began to lose patience and clenched her fists to prepare to stun Entrapta if she had to. "Anything that can benefit the Horde is a good idea, and I recognize good ideas.". "But, leader, the heart of Etheria could release such great power that it would destroy everything alive and possibly not just on Etheria.", that's when Adora lost her patience completely, she took a stun bar and hit Entrapta right in the back causing her to lose consciousness. She then pulled her by the hair and led her straight to the dungeons. The people in the hallways watched as their chief scientist was led away but without comment. Everyone was then afraid that she might end up like her.
Meanwhile, in the locker room, Catra, Lonnie, Rogelio and Kyle sat talking. It was still amazing how close they got while Adora was changing the Horde, without Catra apparently. The trio was very confused. So far they had been sent out to simply check the area and now they were ransacking entire cities. Catra lazed on a bench staring at the ceiling, again reminded of Shadow Weaver, who was probably making ends meet now. Lonnie was surprised to see Catra in such a mood and started a conversation. "You and Adora aren't as close as you used to be, are you?" she asked, to which Catra frustratedly replied, "What do you know? Adora has always been there for me, and now... she's just not there anymore. She's focused solely on her mission to destroy the Rebellion." Catra seemed to have started to going soft, so she left the room so no one would notice her meltdown, and the trio looked at each other in disbelief.
Catra headed for her bedroom where forms, passed patrols, and a whole bunch of other office paperwork were waiting for her to fill out. The girl was already tired and wanted to forget about this day. She lay down on her bed and began to cry. Her tears dripped onto her childhood drawings of when Adora was still good. Catra seeing this began to destroy everything around her in anger and sadness that overwhelmed her.
Suddenly Catra was startled by a sound. She looked behind her and noticed that something was opening her vent. The something left her walkman behind and disappeared into the vent. Catra puzzled picked up the walkman and found a note that said "Turn on the red button". So she turned it on and a familiar voice came out of the walkman, Entrapta's voice. "Hey, Catra! You're probably wondering why I'm giving you this message, but we don't have much time.", Catra even more surprised sat down on her bed to listen to the message.
"Listen carefully. I need your help. I trust you with this matter because I can't count on others, especially Adora. You know for a fact that Adora wants to get Bright Moon, and I recently discovered something she's now totally obsessed with. The Heart of Etheria, an ancient superweapon created by the First Ones and is located at the core of Etheria. If the planet was in balance all the princesses would have to be connected to their Runestones. I can't figure out who the last princess is, unfortunately. Look, Catra, if Adora manages to connect the last princess with her Runestone then it would be all over. The Rebellion will lose, and so will the Horde. Everything would be blown off the face of the earth. The only salvation in this situation is to evacuate the Horde. You must flee, preferably to some mountains. Don't go to the underground because that's where the biggest blow will be dealt. Well, I never thought I would say this, but we can't continue this mission. It's been great knowing you, Catra. Goodbye. PS- destroy the tape so no one knows about this message."
After the message ended, a tape ejected from the walkman. Catra took it in her hand in shock and crumpled it. She knew she had to act and act as soon as possible. The first thing she took charge of was warning the cadets and soldiers. Their beliefs about the danger of Adora were mixed, but they all agreed to evacuate. They immediately began preparing their vehicles and supplies. A few, however, would also decide to go on foot. In the parking lot, Rogelio and Kyle were getting ready to leave. Lonnie, on the other hand, noticed Catra who was looking at the trio with regret that they couldn't have been nicer to each other in the past. Catra walked up to Lonnie, and Lonnie hugged her. "Be safe..." Catra said with a shrug. Lonnie reciprocating her emotion replied, "You too..." and she joined Rogelio and Kyle, who then started the vehicle and headed off to seek shelter. Catra watched them and many other cadets and soldiers leave the Horde, she watched them all with fear in her eyes but she regained her courage and set off to find Adora.
The Horde corridors have never been so empty before. Through these corridors ran Catra, who was ready to face her fear- Adora. As soon as she reached the Black Garnet Chamber she couldn't believe her eyes. It was too late. "Hey, Catra." Adora said with a sinister smile, and behind her Black Garnet glowed and created lightning that scared Catra even more.
